Made In Punjab By BBQ’D Is Back With A Bang

Made In Punjab has always remained close to every Bangalorean’s heart. BBQ’D was a revamped version and now has included the legendary dishes of MIP into its Ala Carte menu.

I decided to go to my personal favoured place in town for legitimate Punjabi cuisine. A bunch of us dropped there to give our stomachs a treat.

Their newly introduced brews included the regular IPA, a newly introduced Masala and the lightest Hefeweizen.

We started our meal with the delicious and finger-licking chats. First in that order is surely Dahi Pataka- a customized Dahi puri with delightful sweet tangy taste.

The star in the dishes has to go to Palak Pata Chaat- spinach leaves deep fried in batter and served on top of potato mush along with curd and sweet and tangy chutneys. It is surely finger licking good. Chicken Tikka Chat is another new innovation with cold chats with chicken and sauces well mixed. It is delicious and a must try.

Our second course of starters started with Karara Bhatti Paneer – mouth melting paneer covered in crisps and then cooked on a bhatti. Another paneer delicacy was the BBQ’D special Paneer tikka. My personal favourite had to be the Malai Broccoli – beautifully cooked and the marination made was subtle.

The non-vegetarian starters included the LOL(Leg of Lamb) Tikki- minced mutton with spices and then deep fried. Also the Bhatti Murgh with impeccable cooked chicken and marination on point.

Lehsuni Tikka was a dish worth ordering with garlic flavour subtly overpowering yet flawless. Tandoori Champ was a superlative dish with a mutton leg cooked well.

Moving onto the mains, though we didn’t have more appetite the spread surely made it worth it. I started by combining their amazingly well Dal Makhani with Lacha Paratha, a combination difficult to beat. What made it better? Their Legendary Special Butter Chicken, going forward with aces. On point creaminess and buttery gravy. All those calories worth every bite.

I also tried their Lehsuni Palak Chenna – shredded spinach with bits of cheese curds. It goes so well with their tandoori Roti.

Ending our delectable meal with the desserts which surely kept us on our toes and our tastebuds a blast was the Nukkad Jalebis. Crispy thin Jalebis on the bed of thick rabri with a garnish of almonds. I think this sounds appetizing enough. The other option was the Rasmalai with the embellishment of saffron.

These dishes of MIP by BBQ’D is available all day throughout in Ala Carte menu. I am so happy they brought back the legendary dishes in BBQ’D. A perfect meal at the perfect place.
